I had AlloDerm on the nasal bridge, and ear cartilage + septal cartilage in the nasal tip. Two days ago, I only removed the AlloDerm from the bridge, left the nasal tip as it was, harvested new ear cartilage, and just evened out the step-off. Unlike when I had my first surgery, there isn’t much foreign-body sensation in my nose, not much swelling either.. and I don’t have that stiffness?? tight pulling? that’s typical after nose surgery, so I can do the lip-trilling “um-pa um-pa” motion too, not completely, but much better than after my first surgery. Is it usually like this after removal surgery?? It’s called removal, but since they opened the nose once and also refined the nasal tip, I thought the foreign-body sensation would last about as long as after nose surgery, but my nose feels lighter than I expected, so even though I still have the splint on, I forget that I had nose surgery..;; There hasn’t been much blood or discharge since the first day, so I’m not even using gauze.. If anyone has had removal done, please share your experience!!
