I had revision surgery for anterior, posterior, and lower canthoplasty. I liked the result when I had it done at the previous clinic, but after about a year, it felt like it was gradually closing back up, so I had revision surgery. I made a consultation appointment by phone, had the consultation, booked the surgery right away, and had the surgery.
On the day of surgery, I did not swell much, but from days 1 to 4, when I woke up after sleeping, I would swell a lot. My eyes became only half their size, and my nasal bridge disappeared. I had the stitches removed twice, and after the final stitches were removed on day 8, the foreign-body sensation in my eyes went away and the swelling kept going down. By around week 2, I think there was almost no swelling. It is week 3 now, and the outer corners of my eyes still look red and the surgical scars are still noticeable, but they are getting better as time passes. There is almost no tight pulling when I move my eyes, but it still pulls a lot when I smile.
After surgery, my eyes became much longer toward the outer sides, and the eyes that had looked blocked because they angled upward became opened up. It feels like my overall facial balance has improved.
