It was around the time when semi-permanent eyeliner had just been newly launched? While I was getting my eyebrows done, they kept recommending it. Since she was the oldest-looking one, I somehow thought she would hurt me more than the younger staff, so I decided I wouldn’t get it from her. I also had never tried eyeliner and was scared, so I said no because it seemed like it would hurt. Then all of a sudden she dragged the needle across one side a few times. She just did it without any numbing cream or anything. She said it didn’t hurt and that this was all there was to it. I was flustered. Since it didn’t hurt, I said, ah yes, you’re right, it doesn’t hurt, and then she applied numbing cream and did the eyeliner in earnest. I thought it was a service. I had never said I would do it, and I had kept refusing, so they just added the cost into the bill at the end. There were tons of customers and the staff were rude, and the person in charge disappeared to handle the next client, so I couldn’t even complain anywhere and just paid. A total mess overall. But the semi-permanent work itself turned out pretty well.
