Medpor removal + osteotomy + silicone + septal support graft + cartilage repositioning + cartilage suturing Surgery time: 3 hours
The sleep anesthesia was only brief, and after that the surgery was done under local anesthesia while I was conscious, so I liked that I could talk with the director during the surgery and check the shape before finishing to make adjustments I thought having surgery while conscious would be scary, but it was surprisingly okay But I did not know Medpor had been used in my first surgery, so because foreign body removal had to be added, the surgery time got longer, and getting additional anesthesia during the procedure was very difficultㅜㅜ (I had surgery while crying....ㅜㅜ) Especially when they put disinfectant through the nose and it goes down the throat, they tell you to just swallow it, but this really makes you gag!!!!
While I was in the recovery room, the director came twice to check my condition, explain how the surgery went, and go over precautions
Day 1: 1 swelling injection, 2 antibiotic injections Day 2: 1 swelling injection, 2 antibiotic injections, tube and cotton removed, taping length adjusted shorter, swelling moved down below my eyes so my lips felt like they would burst Day 3: brief happiness after removing the cotton; this time my runny nose was chaotic Day 5: 1 swelling injection, 2 antibiotic injections, silicone support and splint removed, then taping
Now I am on day 8, waiting to have the stitches and taping removed
