I’m a 24-year-old man, and I started orthodontic treatment in middle school. I think orthodontic treatment doesn’t simply end just because you had it done; aftercare is really important. Even if the tooth positions are firmly set after about 2 years, they have a tendency to move back. To prevent this, you need to have a retainer device (wire) attached behind your teeth! But the shape became so much prettier, so I absolutely don’t regret it. If you have snaggle teeth, I highly recommend it, but if you don’t have snaggle teeth, I don’t recommend it because the process is too bothersome.
