I am on day 17 after cheekbone + square jaw surgery on August 5 at The Standard of Facial Contouring. I usually worried about my square jaw being noticeable from the side, so I decided to get facial contouring surgery. In the past, when I got square-jaw Botox, my cheekbones looked more prominent, so I decided on the two procedures: cheekbones + square jaw.
It was nice that all the hospital staff were kind. I didn't look into many hospitals before deciding on this one, and the biggest reason was that it was a one-doctor clinic where the director only does facial contouring. For some reason, I thought a one-doctor clinic would make the surgery safer and take better care of aftercare too. I think I recovered a bit quickly after surgery; the doctor said it was my constitution, but I think it was probably because the surgery was done well.
Up to day 6 after surgery, I was swollen enough that my face felt heavy, but from day 7 onward the swelling suddenly went down, so I could start daily life without a mask. As for food, I'm eating well by cutting up the things I usually eat into small pieces~. Now, at week 2 + a few days, I can eat meat and fruit well!
I'm not doing any separate swelling management, and when I wake up in the morning I seem a bit swollen, so I'm just doing a little warm/cold compressing~ People around me initially tried to stop me because they said it was a really major surgery, but watching me recover, they say it seems to have turned out well!
Everyone, definitely try getting a consultation with Director Oh Jung-seok! Highly recommended
