Honest 1.5-Month Review of Long-Curve Square Jaw Surgery

I thought my cheekbones were not that large and considered them part of my individuality, so because I wanted to improve the square jaw area and wanted a natural slimness in the lower face, I had long-curve square jaw surgery. Also, rather than completely cutting away the square jaw, I wanted surgery that could compensate for the drawbacks and improve the uneven areas.

Compared with weeks 1-2, the swelling has gone down, but not a lot. Sensation in my lower lip and the surgical area is slowly returning, but about 60% has returned, and it still feels awkward. My mouth opens fairly well, but if I chew a lot, the jaw area feels stiff and hurts. The amount I can hold in my mouth has decreased to 1/2, so if I think like before surgery and fill my mouth completely, it overflows and I sometimes end up spitting it out. When chewing, my lower lip occasionally loses strength, so there are times when I spill food.

When I tie my hair up, my face shape feels more refined and smaller. What I’m concerned about is that there is still a lot of residual swelling, and because the jaw area looks blunt, I’m not sure whether it looks slim when I wear my hair down. I think I need to lose facial fat through diet control and exercise.

Conclusion: The uneven bone has improved, but I think I need to reduce the swelling and lose fat to get the face shape I want. Since it is not a surgery that shaves down a lot of bone, if you want naturalness, I think you need to combine it with exercise and procedures for the face shape to become naturally refined.
