Before<before removal>After<after removal>I finally had the silicone in my nose removed yesterday I had it removed free of charge at the same clinic where I had surgery exactly 1 year ago.
My original nose was long and wide enough that osteotomy was needed for the first surgery, so after the osteotomy they only added 1.5 mm of silicone to the bridge, and used septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip
As time passed, the tip became stronger and drooped a little, and more than anything, the silicone show-through on the bridge became too obvious, so I had it removed
*There was absolutely no silicone inflammation or side effect; I simply changed my mind because of the show-through*
I thought the sense of loss would be too big if I removed everything up to the tip, so they only slipped out the silicone through an intranasal incision. But when I touched my nose over the taping, the middle of the bridge felt sunken, so I do feel a bit of loss... Even though it was only 1.5 mm lolololol
Still, I feel so relieved inside~~
For those who had removal, did the sunken feeling in the middle of the bridge go away after the swelling subsided??
