It’s already been about 6-7 years since I had double eyelid surgery! At first I debated a lot about whether to get double eyelid surgery or not, but I felt my monolids looked too plain, so I decided to do it! I had it done outside Seoul, and I got a recommendation from an acquaintance. When I first went for the consultation, the doctor took a quick look at my eyes and said buried sutures would come undone quickly so they wouldn’t work, and since my eyes looked sleepy, he recommended an incision method and ptosis correction. But my parents said absolutely no incision, so I just did the buried suture method,, I wanted it to look natural, so I did an in-out line. I chose the line that seemed like it would suit my eyes best. I was really worried because it was ptosis correction, but now that 7 years have passed since surgery, I think I’m so glad I did the buried suture method! Maybe because it was buried sutures(?) it seems even more natural, and most of my friends around me said they couldn’t tell I had double eyelid surgery and that it was really natural. Unlike the doctor’s concern, the buried sutures have never come undone once in 7 years, and I’m living very satisfied with my eyes now!
