I'm posting because I'd like to get some advice. I'm entering my 3rd week after surgery. Since having my nasal splint removed after nose surgery, pus? discharge? has been continuously coming out from inside the nasal tip. I wondered if it might be an inflammatory reaction.. but when I looked it up, they said inflammatory reactions involve the nose swelling up or hurting, and I don't have those symptoms.
But I heard that if this kind of yellow discharge keeps coming out, it could be a silicone side effect. I only had silicone placed in the nasal bridge, and the nasal tip was done with autologous ear cartilage, so I'm still kind of confused... It also seems like it could be a wound inside my nose, but every morning there is a yellow scab, and when I wipe it with a cotton swab, it comes off yellow like this.. Has anyone experienced this?
