Broadly speaking, it has been exactly 1 year since I had nostril/alar base reduction and columella lift surgery. The severe side effects still have not improved at all, and functional problems inside the nose are becoming more noticeable. Since I'm an office worker, I can't often go to other clinics whenever I have time, so I'm getting information, taking vacation days while watching others' reactions, and going around.. Why did I pay my own money for surgery, use my own vacation while worrying about others' reactions, and suffer from side effects all year long like this.. It feels like I paid money just to get side effects.. The problem is that this suffering may not end here.. After hearing helpful words from a few people on this board, saying not to get too immersed in the current situation and to live daily life even if it's hard while looking for ways it may improve, I'm hanging in there...ㅠㅠ
The side effects that were there before (columella pulling, alar area, etc.) are still bad, and although it was like this before too, the most serious thing these days is inside the nose, especially one side. Around the nasal airway area.. around where the red nasal tissue is located, the pain is severe, and the feeling of adhesions as if it is sticking, plus the pressure, are getting worse. It constantly feels like there is a nasal crust in that area. The problematic nostril is narrower than the other side, with pressure across the entire inner nasal tissue surface, pressure across the entire outer alar surface too... The inner tissue is not just being compressed, it even stings. If there were a machine to measure pain intensity, I wish it could measure the part I can't express in words. Why does my condition get worse as time passes instead of improving? During the 4 scar-tissue injections.. the clinic gave me scar-tissue injections, but they had no effect, and because they were steroid injections, they said more injections could cause problems, so the last injection ended around November... After that period ended, as time passed, it actually seems to be getting worse, as if it is hardening.. I have CT images taken before surgery.. Is there any clinic that analyzes problems before and after surgery well using CT images? The pain is gradually getting worse, so I went to a university hospital, and they referred me, so I have an appointment booked at a pain center... A local ENT says the CT file won't open, maybe because something doesn't match with their hospital system... At the university hospital (1 place), even after making a reservation, the waiting time that day felt like fourteen or fifteen days, and the consultation was perfunctory. Maybe they didn't want to get involved.. they told me to discuss it with the surgical clinic.. They were so unfriendly that I never want to go back.. Doctors... Even though the patient's remaining life ahead is long and aftereffects make living difficult, are they just taking each other's side?... I'm saying I want to pay money to fix it because I need even a little relief so it's not functionally so hard... I'm saying I don't want nose shape, I want reconstruction... Why are they all like this? Cosmetic surgeons must not be doctors.... If anyone can recommend a university hospital that can kindly and thoroughly examine nasal function, please let me know... If anyone around me said they were going to get nose surgery, I would want to stop them with everything I have, no matter what surgery it was....ㅠㅠ
They kept bringing up the 6-month scar tissue talk, so I believed that, got scar-tissue injections, and waited... but in conclusion, it is no longer scar tissue.. Even after a simple nostril/alar base reduction, I'm going through this suffering because the aftereffects are severe... Sigh~ If only I could go back to the past... ㅠㅠ
