I had the surgery in January 2011, so it has been over 10 years now. Seeing acquaintances around me who had surgery and seemed pretty good, I just went for a consultation, set a date, and had the surgery right away without looking around much. Back then I didn’t know much about double eyelid surgery, and my only thought was that as long as I didn’t end up with sausage eyes, it would be fine. After the surgery, I was more or less satisfied because it didn’t look too much like I had double eyelids. Now, 10 years later, I’ve realized what I didn’t notice before: the front corner and the line thickness seem uneven, and my satisfaction has gone down, so I’m looking into revision surgery. Still, for 10 years I didn’t think it was particularly bad, and I lived just fine.
