Procedure: implant-free nose surgery (nasal tip osteotomy, hump nose, bulbous nose)

I wrote in a structured way before, but this time I’ll write in a lighter tone.

Reasons for choosing the procedure 1. My eyes were originally long, and I liked the line connecting my forehead line to my nose, so I thought, do I really need it..? That’s why I didn’t get silicone. Since plastic surgery directors usually recommend it, I did think, should I try it? But it wasn’t, I want to do it!! 2. They said my nose was wide compared with my face, so I had a slight osteotomy (I should have done a bit more) 3. I had a very slight hump, so I did the hump too (I shouldn’t have done this!) 4. My nose was round, almost bulbous. (I think this was a good choice!)

3-month review compared with 1 month

Nose 1.  The major swelling went down a while ago, but I do think it’s still slowly going down more. It’s not like it visibly went down~~ When I went to see the director at 1 month, they also said, ‘I don’t think it will go down much more….’ It can’t be like that! 2. When I scrunch the nasal tip, it feels slightly heavy, like there’s some kind of membrane inside my nose 3.  Of course, it feels blunt and hard when I touch it 4.  There’s slight pain when I touch the glabella; it feels a bit like a bruise! 5.  People I know say it looks extremely natural, but they like it because my side profile became prettier (only 1 person noticed right away) 6. My mom doesn’t like it, saying my nose looks a bit upturned.

Philtrum 1. Pronouncing “um-pa um-pa” is more comfortable than before. It’s not completely easy, though… 2. I asked my friends, and they said I’m the only one who seems to feel that my philtrum looks long haha 3. Still, I hope the lifted philtrum comes down more ^^ 4. There’s still a heavy feeling in my philtrum -> I’ll take it to mean it will come down more

Ear 1.  Of course, because they cut the skin and took out cartilage, there is still pain .. It hurts slightly when pressed. It’s just uncomfortable, not to the point that daily life is impossible. 2. I need to apply ointment well, but it’s annoying ㅠㅠ 3. At first, as if it was pigmented? Some part of my ear was dark, but it returned over time. 4. Unless someone analyzes my ear shape in real detail, nobody notices any change. 5. It hurts if my ear is pressed for a long time. And when I touch it, it’s slightly more swollen than the other side, though it doesn’t look that way. This is also still swelling going down.

Nose scar 1.  It’s getting lighter over time 2.  I need to apply ointment well (annoying ㅠㅠ)

I tried to write in detail in my own way… At 1 month, I was really anxious and had a lot of thoughts about what would happen to the fate of my nose, so I wrote about things people might be curious about, like scars, pain, the philtrum, and so on.

My 3-month review. I can feel it gradually becoming more natural… I’m satisfied, but if I had to pick something disappointing, the osteotomy is so, so, so unnoticeable that it’s disappointing. It still feels wide.. With the nasal tip, even if others say it’s unnoticeable, I can tell, but with the osteotomy, even I can’t tell… Sometimes I forget I had an osteotomy. I feel like my face would have looked about this way even if I had only done the nasal tip without osteotomy. When I touch the osteotomy area, it’s slightly uncomfortable, and I hope it’s swelling. Since I hope this is swelling, I want it to go down and become a bit slimmer.

But I especially valued ‘naturalness-safety.’ If I had to choose between disappointment and instability, disappointment is better. Still, disappointing is disappointing

And I wish I just hadn’t done the hump. Sigh... I thought, since I’m opening the nose anyway, let’s do everything ~ but now I wonder why I did a hump that even I and even people around me didn’t know existed But then again, if I hadn’t done the hump, I might have thought, ah, I should have done it while it was open. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Consultation tips from someone with plastic surgery experience 1. Be clear about the design you want - Like me, I didn’t even really know I had a hump, and doing everything since it’s already open~ I don’t think that’s good. It only costs money. Adding options costs more than you’d think. Do only what hides your complexes and what is necessary. In my case, there were really many hospitals that recommended silicone for the nasal bridge, but I just didn’t do that, and I did do the hump. If I could go back, I would only do what I needed: nasal tip - osteotomy - bulbous nose correction. (What’s necessary) is the key point. 2. There was a virtual plastic surgery experience center. - I think it would be good to go? Ah, I wonder why I didn’t think to go there.

Hospital review 1. I think a good hospital is one you don’t need to go back to after nose surgery. By nature, a hospital should make it so patients don’t have to come back to their hospital. 2. I went to the hospital where I had surgery once to check my progress.
