I ended up getting revision eye surgery, and maybe because I had revision eye surgery, ptosis correction, and a lateral canthoplasty too, the swelling just would not go down, so I was so, so stressed haha. Honestly, after the stitches were removed, I could see the swelling going down.
The swelling was so bad at first ㅠㅠ I was really worried that my double-eyelid surgery might have failed, but I guess time really is the best medicine. On top of that, in my case, they had to dissect the scar tissue again, redesign the line, and since I had ptosis on one side, they also did a little ptosis correction on one eye, so the doctor said the swelling would last a long time. I had already expected it in my mind before doing it, but... still, when the swelling would not go down, I almost got depressed. Especially between days 4 and 6, I kept thinking, “Did the asymmetry improve? Why is it so puffy? This is not going to turn into sausage eyes, right?” ㅠㅠ I got lost in all kinds of thoughts ㅠㅠㅠ Honestly, I could not go anywhere and stayed only at home ㅠㅠ Maybe because of that, it also felt like the swelling was going down even more slowly.
Even when I went to get the stitches removed, I whined to the doctor that the swelling was not going down haha. But lol, after the stitches were removed and evening came, lol honestly I suddenly felt, “Ah, now it is going to go down quickly.”
Everyone, if you are worried or stressed because of swelling, try to be patient and wait just a little like I did! It will get better soon... Even though I am only on day 8 now and still have swelling, it has still gone down much more than before the stitches were removed. And even with the swelling, I can tell that this revision eye surgery really worked out well lol.
