Before<Before surgery>After<Photo 4 weeks after surgery>I previously posted a review right after surgery + days 3-5. I’m posting this hoping it helps people who have had double-jaw surgery + facial contouring or those who plan to get them~~!
Honestly, for at least the first 3 days, it was so hard that I felt like I was dying because I couldn’t breathe ㅠㅠㅠ + taking medicine was truly torture
But around day 7, breathing becomes manageable, and once that breathing issue is solved, then drooling and runny nose start pouring out hahaha Whether you’re taking a walk or sitting in bed, a box of tissues is a must!
Keep doing cold compresses well through day 4, and warm compresses from day 5. They say cold compresses help prevent further swelling, and warm compresses help relieve swelling hahaha
Once you get through all the hardship at the beginning, there’s another hardship of not being able to eat hahahahaha haha I live for the joy of eating, so it feels like death..
But hang in there. Even if you try to hold time back and tell it not to go, it passes. The condition that felt like it would never improve gradually got better too.
They say you need to eat well so the bones heal well. Aside from chewing, make sure to eat well~~
Oh, and the nostril widening I was worried about seems to be much less than I thought..? If the surgery is done by a director who is good at tying during surgery, it seems like there isn’t much nostril widening hahaha (I was planning to get revision rhinoplasty, but for now I’m going to see how the swelling goes down.) I guess the director really is skilled after all.
I rested for 4 weeks like that and then went back to work.
I’m going to check my 1-month progress the day after tomorrow and get swelling laser treatment again.
I hope everyone has safe and successful surgery~!!
