I had a consultation for a crooked nose at ㅌㄹㄷ, which is famous for rhinoplasty. But I don’t think I got the consultation I wanted. Because the answer I kept getting was that it was impossible..
They said it is impossible to fracture a crooked nose and align it 100%. Since everyone has facial asymmetry,
it is impossible to align it exactly — that was the kind of vague answer they gave.
I mean, I know facial asymmetry exists, and I know other hospitals also say this kind of thing as a premise anyway.
I do feel like it is somewhat of a defensive statement, too.
First of all, the fact is that my nose visibly looks crooked externally, but they kept talking about facial asymmetry, so it was frustrating. I want to correct it so it doesn’t look noticeable, but all they said was that it was impossible. They said osteotomy was not an option and that realistically, adding something on top and shaping it would be the way to go — things like that.
Before the consultation, when I looked at the brochure, the really crooked noses were all brought right to the center, so I’m curious how on earth those were corrected.
People say this place is really famous, right? They’re skilled, and the price is 2-3 times the rhinoplasty price at a typical plastic surgery clinic, but I’m not sure.. The consultation was really underwhelming and unsatisfying.. I’m thinking of getting another consultation. From what I’ve heard from others, consultations at ㅌㄹㄷ may not be very satisfying, but there seem to be many generally satisfactory surgical results, so I’m debating whether to just get crooked nose surgery here.
