I had snaggle teeth on both the upper and lower teeth, but the lower snaggle teeth looked worse than the upper ones, so I ended up getting orthodontic treatment after my mom dragged me along. I went for consultations at several places, and excluding places that were too cheap or too expensive, I chose the place my friend recommended, saying it was famous in their neighborhood. There were many clients, and the doctor and front desk staff were kind, so I decided on it.
At first, they clearly said it would proceed without extractions, so I signed the contract, but once treatment actually started, they said I needed to have as many as three teeth extracted, so I had a mental breakdown...ㅠ I felt betrayed, but I had already paid, so I just went ahead with it... Looking back now, I do wonder what it would have been like if I had just gone to a big hospital, but because of work, I couldn’t help it. Still, they took good care of me and were kind, so I was able to keep going there feeling good. I wasn’t fully satisfied with the result, considering I had as many as three teeth extracted, but I’ve been living with the thought that it probably would have been like this anywhere, so I guess it’s okay too.
The total orthodontic treatment period took 2 years, and I received a removable retainer, but I didn’t wear it properly, so my teeth shifted a lot. If any friends are considering orthodontic treatment, I hope you do it as soon as possible...
