I did like my nose after surgery, but honestly it wasn’t the kind of feeling where I thought, “This is truly my dream nose!” Still, it was much prettier than my old nose, so I thought it had turned out fine. I didn’t think there would be any bigger change, but once the major swelling completely subsided, the previously round and spread-out tip became more defined, making my nose look much more prominent than in the early postoperative period! This is exactly the natural-looking nose I wanted, T_T. The difference is especially noticeable when I turn my head slightly and take a photo from the front, like in the picture. Before, my bridge was low and my tip was round, so my face looked plain overall. Now the bridge has risen naturally and the line continuing to the tip is much clearer. Now that the swelling has gone down a lot, my nose looks slimmer overall and seems to suit my face much better! The tip is still slightly plump and feels firm to the touch, but it has become almost the natural straight-line shape I wanted. It even turned out very similar to the photo I showed Dr. [Doctor A] before surgery, so I am extremely satisfied. I’m sure there are people like me who, early after surgery, think, “Huh? Is this a little ambiguous...?” But don’t be too impatient; give it some time and wait a little longer! The timing of swelling reduction differs from person to person. Mine was somewhat slow to subside, so I was slightly disappointed at first, but compared with then, the nasal line is definitely different now. Of course everyone’s recovery process is different, but I like it much more as time has passed. Now I finally understand what people mean when they say you have to wait for the swelling to go down after rhinoplasty.
