Since I had been thinking about double jaw surgery + facial contouring surgery even before getting the surgery, I was considering it carefully. I knew someone around me who had it done there, and it felt like all the pretty people had done it there//.. The reviews were that good too,,, I wanted to know more details about double jaw cases and facial contouring cases, so I asked the doctor a lot of questions, and I was touched when he answered kindly ㅠㅠ I became convinced that if I did it there too, the results would be good!!
On the day of surgery, really,, it hurt so much ㅠㅠ I feel like whenever I have surgery, I’ve never gotten through it without pain,, On day 2, I could feel my face swelling more and more.. I expected it, but I was like, this much?ㅋㅋ I asked them to give me painkillers, but as time passed, the pain gradually got a little better..! While I was hospitalized, I really kept calling for the nurses so much it must have been annoying, but they never showed that it was hard, treated me so kindly, and cared for me so well. I want to say thank you once again to the nurse ㅠㅠ
The next day was discharge day, and my face was so swollen,, it was uncomfortable, but breathing became easier and the swelling inside my mouth gradually went down a lot. Really,, the joy of my throat hurting less when I woke up and being able to swallow liquid food without a syringe, hehe, I can’t forget it..! Every time I went in for post-surgery care, they managed my swelling, checked my condition, and treated me kindly, so I was very grateful.
By month 3, there was definitely still some minor swelling, but compared with a month earlier, a lot of swelling had gone downㅎ I hope the remaining minor swelling goes down quickly too. But these days I’m eating so well that I’m gaining weight!!! I need to lose it again soon.. I should start dieting seriously from now onㅋㅋㅋ After 6 months passed, I was doing so well that I even forgot I had double jaw surgeryㅎㅎ Even recently, I’ve been told that the swelling is still going down, so the swelling is decreasing day by day! I met friends for the first time in a while too, and I heard a lot of things like, “Your face is small~” “You somehow got prettier~” “What did you do~”! Even when I still had swelling after surgery, I heard that I looked pretty, but now that it’s almost 1 year, the swelling has gone down even more and my face looks even better!!!
I visited for my 1-year follow-up check, and it felt good because the consultant welcomed me so warmly after such a long time!! They say facial bone pin removal is usually best done between 6 months and 1 year, but I said I wasn’t going to do it because it isn’t harmful to the body and doesn’t cause any problems, and the doctor also said that if it isn’t causing any issues, I don’t have to do it, so I felt relieved~! It depends on the case,, so whether you’ll have pin removal surgery or leave them as they are,, I hope you look into it well before decidingㅎㅎ Recently I went to a festival, and being able to confidently take side-profile photos without covering my jaw ㅠㅠ felt so good! I used to always be busy covering my face in photos others took because it looked angular, but now it’s smooth and the line is clearly defined, so I’m living happily every single dayㅎㅎㅎ!!!
