Review of Rhinoplasty at That Hospital with All the Rumors (Consultation Part)

Even before I went to the hospital for a consultation, I had decided I should have surgery at this hospital. The reason is simpler than you might think. It was because it was mentioned in a beauty magazine as a celebrity plastic surgery clinic. Kind of ridiculous, right? It might not even be true, but how should I put it, maybe it was my gut feeling? If that person really had plastic surgery there, I thought they had a face shape and nose similar to mine, so if my rhinoplasty were successful, that nose would be the best possible result for me.   Looking around here and there, I saw people saying, “Isn’t Ahn Sung-jin old news?” “Hasn’t he fallen out of favor?” and that he tends to leave scars. Since this is still ongoing, I can’t answer that yet, but I’ll write more gradually.   After I made an appointment and waited, I was able to consult with the director right away. I liked that from the start. I didn’t know because I hadn’t gone to other hospitals, but maybe because I had heard that a good hospital is one where you consult with the doctor and only discuss pricing with the manager…. During the consultation, I could feel that the doctor was someone with strong pride. My nose was small and low, and he firmly told me that if I simply put an implant into this nose, it would become a Michael Jackson nose, so unless it was done together with a paranasal augmentation procedure, it would be better not to do it.  Since I didn’t even know such a procedure existed, I thought to myself, am I now at the scene of being ripped off? But with his crazy eye for detail, he had noticed that my mouth was slightly not closing. He said that because my philtrum is on the short side, it’s not that my lips only look lifted, they actually will be lifted as the nose is raised, and that it was fine even if I didn’t do it at his hospital, but I absolutely shouldn’t go to a hospital that just puts an implant in the nose and reduces the nostrils as if mass-producing results. He said improving the overall impression is the top priority and that this aligns with the essential meaning of plastic surgery. He spoke so passionately that I felt like I had been seriously scolded. He also said that my nose suits a straight nose more than a semi-beoseon nose, and told me not to go to hospitals that say they’ll give me a semi-beoseon or a straight-semi-beoseon nose.  In the ㅋㅅㅁㅍㄹㅌ magazine, it said this director was the creator of the semi-beoseon nose, so I had hoped to get surgery for a pretty semi-beoseon nose, but I was persuaded by what the director said. He said each person has a nose that suits them. That made me think maybe that’s why he created the semi-beoseon nose too. And he told me that he could show me 3D modeling as well, but that it was a sales tactic. He said what matters is the doctor’s ability to execute the imagined data…. I also liked that the director said he dislikes indiscriminate anesthesia. He said he briefly uses sleep anesthesia, wakes the patient up, and then performs the surgery under local anesthesia, and if sleep anesthesia is risky, he proceeds without it. Since I couldn’t help thinking about things like ghost surgery and medical accidents, I trusted him more, so on the same day I had the consultation, paid the deposit, scheduled the surgery date, and came back.
