When I look in the mirror after being outside, I feel like the redness gets a bit stronger, maybe because of the heat...
But........
My satisfaction with the surgical result is genuinely the highest The fact that the hump is gone... and that the bridge is this smooth... I think only people who have had rhinoplasty can truly know how much that changes the feel of the face ㅠ
The bridge and nasal tip are completely implant-free Actually, the director at DA said that although my nasal bridge hump was high, the nasal bridge bone itself was pointing forward too much, almost like a rhinoceros horn? so it was absolutely not a nose that could be raised with silicone
So he said it would be best to reduce the hump and use only autologous cartilage for the bridge and tip, so the nasal tip was done with donated costal cartilage, and he said it would be good to fill areas of the bridge here and there with ear cartilage, so I had the surgery that way
Originally it was going to be autologous costal cartilage, but when they checked with an X-ray, my rib cartilage was too calcified? so it was confirmed unusable, meaning donated rib cartilage was the only option
Hospital aftercare?
The hospital really treated me diligently Because they used cartilage from my right ear, and maybe I irritated my ear a lot while sleeping.. or pressed on it ㅠ when I woke up, there was some blood coming from my ear, so I went to the hospital and they said it seemed like some stitches had burst, so they had to stitch it again. The hospital said it would be good to come often for disinfection, so I really made as much time as possible to go back and forth to the hospital for treatment. My ear is totally fine now! Getting surgery is important, but I also felt that making time to go to the hospital often and cooperate is important too ㅠ
Oh right, lower-eye fat repositioning... lol At some clinics, I had consultations where they said I did not have fat to reposition under the eyes, so let's do fat grafting.. let's do thread lifting... let's do under-eye laser, etc., but since I had chosen the hospital for my nose anyway, I wanted to do the under-eye area too, so I had a consultation. The director explained that one side had a lot of fat, so he would remove and reposition it, and the other side did not have anything to remove but had enough to reposition, so he explained each side differently. That made me trust him, so while doing my nose, I had the under-eye surgery too.
Now dark circles? under my eyes are seriously gone lolol It was such a real source of stress ㅠㅠ...
It was not an easy choice or process But now, on day 49... I recently went to the outdoor pool at the Han River and took photos, and I have so much confidence in my side profile now lol
I went because it is a hospital a lot of men go to for plastic surgery, and actually during consultations and on surgery day, I saw quite a few men having surgery too lol so I did not feel completely alone... ha...
