My nose wasn’t extremely big, but I got a bit ambitious and wanted it to become a slightly smaller nose. Because people said scars would form, I wondered if I should do a non-incision method, but I didn’t want an incision.. I thought about it like that for about a year, then decided to have surgery and went for a consultation. I heard that non-incision can come undone later, so when I went for the consultation, I ruled it out completely. For incision methods, there are two types: internal incision and external incision. But why did I dislike the look of internal-incision scars more,, In photos, I disliked the scar that forms under the nostril moreㅠㅠ Anyway, the price was reasonable, and the director said they would suture well along the outer line of the nose so the scar wouldn’t be that visible, and if the scar was too big, they would provide follow-up laser care, so I reduced it by 6 mm with an external incision. I had local anesthesia, and honestly, if you just think “I’m dead for twenty seconds~~~!” then after that it doesn’t hurt. Then on the way home, as the anesthesia wears off, should I say it gradually starts to pull? The nose area becomes firm and tight. After a month passed, I was disappointed because there wasn’t a dramatic changeㅠㅠ When I went to have the stitches removed after surgery, they said only a little residual swelling would go down from there and it wouldn’t get smaller, so I thought, Ah,, why did I get surgery?ㅋㅋ But now, after a month has passed and it’s been a little over two months, I think I actually like my current natural-looking nose much more. Natural is the best! Ah, but I got a severe scar on the outside of my nose. I don’t know what the clinic will say (they only keep repeating that the redness will go away with time and the scar will disappearㅠ).. Leaving the redness aside, the raised scar protruding in the shape of the stitches really doesn’t seem like it will go away easily or quickly no matter how I think about it.. Honestly, even if people say it’s not very visible, it’s my face, and since the nose is in the center of the face, I’m so bothered by it,, so in the end I started looking for a scar-removal clinic.. I’ve already had 2 scar-removal treatments now. Somehow the follow-up costs are even ㅋㅋㅋ higher, this love-hate alar reduction surgery.. I’ll post a review of the scar removal too~
Conclusion: I had external-incision alar reduction surgery. At first, because it was so natural, I thought, Ah, I wasted money, but now I’m satisfied with the subtly and naturally reduced alae. However, I developed a scar on the outside of my nose, so I’m currently going to a scar-removal clinic.
