Because I live outside Seoul, local hospitals told me to go up to Seoul, and nearby hospitals recommended things like avoiding factory-style places, places with many doctors, places with lots of advertising, checking whether the doctor is a specialist, papers, etc. So I searched on Naver, looked at websites first, narrowed it down to a few, then went to Seoul for consultations. The reasons I chose this hospital among them were: 1. The consultant and director were very kind and looked at every detail carefully 2. Not factory-style, one director, anesthesiology specialist available 3. Some other places didn't even take CT scans and just looked roughly, but this place examined me the most thoroughly
Because I had already had a bad experience at a factory-style place (upturned nose, contracture, uneven nostrils (severe)), I thought of this revision as my last surgery. The places that get mentioned a lot seemed to have too much marketing and advertising if you actually went there or looked into them a little more, and in many cases they were not kind, so I researched carefully, trusted my gut, and decided to do reconstruction here. This time I had total removal of my nose right away, and the stitches have not been removed yet. I'm very scared of surgery, but the nurse listened well to my requests, so I was able to have the surgery comfortably.
I'll go in for revision surgery in a few months, and if I do, I'll try posting progress photos.
