Eyes and nose (double eyelid surgery and nose consultation)
1. ㅂㄹㅂ (Eyes) The director was extremely cool and straightforward, like a general, I guess. Personally, I liked it. They were clear about what was possible and what wasn’t, but still asked me everything I wanted. Definitely not unfriendly. I had always thought I had small eyes, so I mentioned full canthoplasty + double eyelid surgery, but they said my eyes were absolutely not small and were very long horizontally, so widening them from here would look strange. Since the distance between my eyes is wide, they only recommended epicanthoplasty. Because I open my eyes with my forehead muscles, they suggested buried suture method (I’m confused, it might have been incisional) + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction, in the 2.3 million won range. They didn’t mention things like a cash discount. They said my eyes were difficult.
(Nose) My columella is short and my nose is on the smaller side. They recommended raising the nasal tip with bone inside the nose (I don’t remember the exact term..) and silicone for the bridge. When I said I have keloid-prone skin, they told me not to worry because they would do scar laser treatment for free. It was around 3.3 million won. They said doing eyes and nose together was possible, but they didn’t really recommend it.
Overall: The director seems firm in their approach and seems to pursue a natural look. I’ll do a few more consultations, but I think I’ll probably do it at ㅂㄹㅂ. The consultant also didn’t feel pushy or salesy. Both of them told me to do my eyes first, also because of the eye muscles beyond just cosmetic purposes.. No consultation fee.
2. ㄷㄷㅈㅇ Here I only consulted with the consultant, so it was a bit... But the consultant is seriously persuasive, so if you’re easily swayed, I think you should definitely go with someone. The director seemed to be in surgery, wearing full gear and going back and forth. They send the estimate by text, so it’s good for knowing the detailed cost. No consultation fee.
(Eyes) They made several lines for me and recommended incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction (I’m not sure about this one..). Anyway, that’s what they recommended. This place also seemed to want a natural look rather than a flashy one. Compared with ㅂㄹㅂ, they asked more about the patient’s choices? or style. In the end, the line the consultant suggested came out the prettiest. Unlike ㅂㄹㅂ, they said my eyes would definitely turn out well with double eyelid surgery. It was nice that they showed before-and-after photos. They mentioned a cash discount. Incision + epicanthoplasty only was 2.42 million won, and with cash discount it was 2.2 million won.
(Nose) I didn’t really feel it with the eyes, but from the nose consultation it started to feel old-fashioned.. Enough that I asked how long they’d been doing this;; Using ear cartilage for the nasal tip + silicone was 4.4 million won, cash discount 4 million won. The before-and-after photos were good, but I just didn’t get a feeling from this place. There wasn’t a price advantage either. Still, the consultant did explain things in detail..
Overall: The consultant is good at sales.. That said, they don’t seem to recommend unnecessary procedures. Since I couldn’t get a consultation with the director, that was a bit disappointing. Overall it doesn’t feel trendy, but it also doesn’t look obviously plastic-surgery-like. But the consultant’s hands smelled like cigarettes.. AS 1 year.
3. ㅇㅅㄹ
A place where my mom’s friend also got surgery.. It’s very old. As soon as you enter, there’s only one staff member, and you can really feel that it’s old. When you go into the consultation room, it smells like cigarettes. Not from the director, though.. Anyway, the director felt like middle-aged to grandfatherly, so at first I was kind of like, hmm?
(Nose) Maybe because they specialize in noses, they were very detailed and looked at it first. Most places look at the eyes first.. They didn’t mention the columella, and said my nose is just the right size and my nostrils/alar base (I said I wanted alar reduction) are not large, so it’s a nose that would turn out well with surgery. The bridge would be silicone (probably..), and they said they would use bone inside the nose for the nasal tip (same as ㅂㄹㅂ). The height they shaped for me was higher than at ㅂㄹㅂ. They said they might use ear cartilage only in a very unlikely case, but I got the feeling they don’t like using ear cartilage. They said they would use it if there was no choice (I think they emphasized it because I have keloid-prone skin..). They also checked inside my nose and told me whether I had rhinitis. They explained the nose in such detail that, from a patient’s perspective, it was really good. They said they only take one person per day. Sleep anesthesia was under 3.4 million won.. I think. No mention of a cash discount.
(Eyes) Nothing to say. The director basically didn’t want to do it.. hahahahahahaha It’s not that they can’t do it, but they specialize in noses, and when I asked if I couldn’t do eyes and nose together, they said they don’t recommend it and that surgery should be done one at a time. Unusually, they used double eyelid tape to make the eye line.. haha Just double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty was around 1.6 million won.. They didn’t seem to want to do the eyes, so the consultation ended earlier compared with the nose.
Overall: If I only do my nose, I want to do it here. But because of vacation I’m planning to do it in winter, and they keep saying I can do it in August.. hahahahahaha The director is really funny. I think doing my nose here would really be okay. This place also has a natural feel, and because they only do one surgery a day, the surgery time is fixed. Arrive at the hospital at 9:50, wake up from anesthesia around 3-4, and get discharged. One thing that bothers me a bit is that the hospital is on the 3rd floor and there’s no elevator!!
