This time I realized how serious it was and ended up going to the hospital 1 year and 8 months after my nose surgery Sure enough, due to a silicone complication, contracture had already occurred, and the doctor said they could not tell whether the contracture stage was still progressing or had stopped. They also said there might be inflammation. They said that if I did not have surgery quickly, the silicone would break through the nasal tip, so after consultation, I had a second reconstructive surgery that same month! *(Revision surgery: nasal bridge, nasal tip - autologous costal cartilage) *(For reference, I am currently 25 years old, but my autologous costal cartilage was already calcified) My skin was not very stretchy to begin with, and since I had a contracted nose after the first surgery, during consultation we decided to focus on lowering the nasal tip for the revision surgery and to make the nasal bridge as low as possible, just to get rid of the contracted nose, and then I had the surgery! It is now day 10 after surgery. When I read reviews of autologous costal cartilage, most people said the swelling goes down after 2 weeks, but since the splint was removed in week 1, my nasal bridge and dorsum have been throbbing and tingling so much, and my head and eyes hurt a lot too. Is this pain just from recovering after rhinoplasty? And it seems like the nose swelling is going down well, so I feel good but also anxious.. I keep wondering if it could be another complication, or if the autologous costal cartilage is being absorbed..? How was it for everyone?! Also, during the preoperative consultation with the director, they said the surgical method would be to carve the autologous costal cartilage to shape it and place it in the nasal bridge..! After surgery, the director said that because the autologous costal cartilage was calcified, they just inserted it as one whole piece.. Is this really okay? I heard that if it is inserted whole, autologous costal cartilage can warp, so please let me know
