It feels like I had surgery just yesterday, but it has already been 1 year. After the surgery, it was so hard that I wondered if I should have just lived as I was.. But now I think I am so glad I did it. First, functionally speaking, before surgery, because of malocclusion and a protruding lower jaw, indigestion was part of my daily life, my pronunciation leaked air, and the appearance was the biggest issue. Those problems have disappeared, and appearance-wise, people around me say my face looks like it is about to vanish, so I really feel that all the hardship was worth it haha On the other hand, I also think I should have done it right away when I was really young Because of that, my self-esteem has gone up a lot, and I feel like I have become more confident haha I am still undergoing orthodontic treatment, so in terms of meals, eating hard foods and things like that has returned to normal, but I think I still sometimes have discomfort related to orthodontics after eating haha Recovery is not completely over yet, but once I can finally be freed from double-jaw orthodontic treatment, I think it will be really nice haha I am waiting only for that day. ^^
