Before-before-after-after After seeing my hump nose in a photo that was taken one day, I suddenly decided to get rhinoplasty… I visited about 3 clinics, then had a consultation with Director Kim Jinwoo, and after that I canceled my other consultations and decided to have surgery here There were several reasons… 1) First, I liked the surgical lines the director creates (our aesthetic sense matched) 2) He asked me what design I wanted (Other clinics suggested the nose they personally thought was pretty) 3) The procedure in the direction I wanted was possible + the director’s confidence (I said I wanted a natural design without an implant, but one clinic kept suggesting silicone, saying I would later get revision surgery because it would not be noticeable enough. In contrast, the director confidently said there would be no problem doing it without an implant while preserving my existing nasal bridge)
Aside from that, since it was implant-free, I did not have to worry about contracture, and I liked that they said they would provide lifelong care (they said to come anytime if any problem came up, and so far I have visited at 1 and 2 weeks, 1 month, and 3 months. I think they said they would also check up to 6 months and 1 year)
I am extremely satisfied with the surgery~ (Maybe because I met a director with a similar aesthetic sense from the start, I liked it even though I did not ask for this and that) What is interesting is that once the hump was corrected, somehow even my sagging cheek fat did not look that saggy, and I looked younger… When I had the hump, it collaborated with my sagging cheek fat and made me look like a witch, but once my nose was lifted, the overall mood of my face changed. I regret not doing it in my 20s instead of in my 30s…
I am happy now because I am 3 months post-op, but for those considering surgery, I will write below about the hardships I went through up to the first month after surgery.
The first week after surgery was absolute hell Until the cotton inside the nose is removed, you have to endure by breathing through your mouth, and every time I slept, my mouth and lips dried out and I woke up… It gets a little better if you run the humidifier full blast and sleep with a water-soaked handkerchief on your mouth… After the cotton is removed on day 3-4, you feel like you can live again, so you start imagining happy things. Once the splint comes off, I will be pretty! Thinking that, I went to have the splint removed in week 1. I found myself extremely swollen, with my eyes looking close together and an overcorrected nose, and I wanted to die… (Even though the director told me that as the swelling went down, my eyes would recover and the overcorrected nose would also come down) If possible, it is better to rest until week 2. Weeks 1-3 are the baboon period, and because of the overcorrected nose, the philtrum looks very, very long… After the stitches are removed in week 2, the swelling slowly starts going down, and from around 1 month, I think you start looking somewhat human again. (I did take Tripline and Danggwisusan for one week after surgery to reduce swelling, and I drank pumpkin juice for a month)
It was something I had wanted since I was 20 and thought about for over 10 years before finally doing it, and although it was a little hard, I absolutely do not regret doing it.. When I look at old photos, all I feel is that I really should have done it even a little sooner I did not have a bulbous nose, so I did not expect much front-view correction effect, but the front view did get corrected slightly too. There is nothing more to say about the side view… Even though I had it done naturally, my face gained much more dimension. If you are stressed about your nose, I recommend just doing it quickly.
