I think I went into surgery around 12-1, and by around 7-8 I was lying in the recovery room. From that day, the true breathing hell began. Because of the nasal packing, I had to breathe through my mouth.. I couldn’t sleep properly at all, I’d sleep for 20 or 30 minutes, wake up because my throat hurt, and struggle to drink water.. I think it was a really hard day. February 26-27 discharge (day 1, day 2). And a humidifier I was discharged on the 26th, but since I had suffered so much from the day before, I think I just kept recovering in my room with the humidifier running strongly.. The humidifier helped, but... I still only dozed lightly, and I seriously thought I was going to get depressed. When a person can’t sleep well, it’s really hard.. At that time I felt that doing facial contouring and nose surgery together would be really tough... Also then, maybe the general anesthesia gas hadn’t been fully expelled yet, because my body kept feeling weak. Because of the bandage, the swelling was like a huge steamed bun face. The 28th, the long-awaited nasal packing removal / bandage removal and start of compression band (day 3) I think this was the happiest I had felt recently. The feeling of removing the nasal packing and breathing through my nose... I originally had rhinitis too, but breathing without that was really blissful! More than anything, I was so happy that I no longer woke up with a sore throat while sleeping and could get a full deep sleep. From that day I started walking diligently. Of course, that day they removed the bandage and changed it to a compression band, so my face felt a bit more comfortable, I guess?? March 1-March 2 (day 4, day 5) - compression band, nasal splint removal From day 4 I recovered smoothly, and on day 5 they removed the compression band and nasal splint, and removed the stitches from my nose and sideburn area. Stitch removal was just a quick stinging feeling, so it hurt less than I expected. March 3 (day 6) These are today’s swelling photos. They originally told me to eat soft regular food from day 7... but after eating squeeze-pack porridge every day until day 5, I was so frustrated that I ate tteokbokki for lunch and soft jokbal for dinner lolololol
Since I did nose surgery and 3 types of facial contouring, I don’t know if it was because of the painkillers, but there wasn’t any specific area that hurt terribly. When the bandage was wrapped, I had a bit of a headache? from the pressure, and for the nose, other than it being hard to breathe because of the nasal packing, there wasn’t much else.
