I had the surgery in November 2022, and since it was my first cosmetic surgery, I was scared of having a knife used on my face, so I had only been thinking about non-incisional buried sutures or natural adhesion. But the doctor said my upper eyelids had a lot of tissue, so it had to be done with an incisional method. Still, he said my eyes didn’t need epicanthoplasty or ptosis correction. Since he didn’t make excessive recommendations, I felt I could trust him.
The first photo shows my original eyes. My inner eye corners were too covered, so I had a complex about the sharp and stuffy-looking impression. So whenever I took selfies, I only took them from angles looking downward. Since I was going to do it by incision anyway, I decided to make the inner corners look clearly more open and keep the outer line naturally thin. (I think an appropriate amount of fat was removed from the inner eye corners.)
Right after surgery, when I saw my face, the lines on both sides were the same, and considering it was incisional, the swelling and scarring weren’t severe. The surgery also ended in about 30 minutes? I emphasized that I really wanted the line to be very thin, and I wanted natural eyes like an inline to in-out line. I brought photos of Irene, Suzy, and Miyeon’s eyes.
For 2 months after surgery, I didn’t drink alcohol or wear makeup at all, and I walked for 30 minutes every night. Instead of spicy, salty, and irritating foods, I also managed my diet with healthy foods like barley tea, pumpkin juice, and cabbage wraps. Especially with incisional surgery, swelling and bruising last a long time, so I think you have to manage it well so the scar doesn’t last too long.
I searched online and visited many different clinics in person, and I recommend avoiding clinics that pressure you to book on the same day, or where the doctor is excessively friendly while adding this surgery and that surgery. I think a good clinic is one that lets you think it over sufficiently and decide.
I hope everyone only has healthy surgeries with no side effects or revision surgery.
