I had been wearing contact lenses since elementary school, and I finally got LASIK lol
My contact lenses were about -3.75? and I thought I did not have astigmatism, but when I went for the exam, they said I had some. I just went to get SMILE LASIK, but they said my astigmatism was a bit unusual and recommended SMILE Pro They also said my pupils are on the larger side, so I should do corneal strengthening too. The price went up sharply, so I hesitated;; (SMILE Pro 4 million, corneal strengthening 300,000 per eyeball) The consultant said, well, they are your eyes after all haha, so I just did SMILE Pro with corneal strengthening too lol It might have been sales talk.. haha
The advantage of SMILE Pro is that it finishes faster than regular SMILE, and the LASIK itself really ended quickly, but the corneal strengthening took some time. On the first day, it seriously hurt like crazy. I cried nonstop and almost died. It felt like wearing a contact lens inside out with about three eyelashes stuck in there? Definitely prepare Tylenol. But from the next day, the pain was less, and although it was hazy, I could see well. It felt like wearing low-prescription contacts.
It has only been a week now, so it is still a bit hazy, and my perceived vision feels about 0.8. Somehow, I feel like I see worse in dark places. They said if you do corneal strengthening, your vision comes up more slowly.. that must be right, right? Still, not wearing glasses is really comfortable. But I recommend consulting several clinics, even if you have to pay some examination fees. After doing it, I did feel like I had rushed too much, but I still think I am glad I did it.
