Before before before after after after Hello It has been 6 months since I had double-jaw surgery for malocclusion.
Since I am a dental student, I focused on oral and maxillofacial surgery when choosing a hospital, and after consulting at several hospitals and thinking it over, in January I ended up having double-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring (chin tip and square jaw) together at a place called Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery haha Before surgery, until I lost weight, I did not realize that I had a protruding lower jaw. As time passed, while living university life, losing weight, and taking care of my appearance, I came to realize that I had a protruding lower jaw,, (Are there people like me,,?)
Anyway, it has now been 6 months since I had double-jaw surgery for malocclusion. haha Most of the swelling has gone down, and only a very small amount of swelling remains around the cheeks. Of course the swelling went down between 3 and 6 months, but I feel like my face is becoming more natural too. Some friends I met for the first time in a really long time do not even know I had surgery unless I tell them first haha Before surgery, my jaw was protruding, and because I kept being conscious of it myself, I had no confidence and was always timid.. After double-jaw surgery, that complex disappeared, so I gained confidence and I think my personality has become brighter too. For people who are stressed because of malocclusion, I think it would be good to seriously consider getting double-jaw surgery. I am currently receiving orthodontic treatment once a month! I am steadily practicing pronunciation too, but I still feel like some parts of my pronunciation are awkward If I continue receiving orthodontic treatment well and more time passes, I think it will become more natural!
