Eye Surgery Reviews

Escaped sausage eyes with canthoplasty haha

A few years ago, after having incisional eyelid surgery and revision ptosis correction at another clinic, I wanted canthoplasty and looked into it. I had an upper canthoplasty at [Clinic A]. I was satisfied at first, but as time passed, it felt like the starting point of the line was becoming slightly covered again, so I revisited [Clinic A] for a consultation about additional revision upper canthoplasty. The doctor said I should have had medial canthoplasty first from the beginning. When I had the initial upper canthoplasty here, they had said I should do medial canthoplasty at the same time, but I didn’t because I was afraid my eyes would look too close together T_T. However, they explained that because of my Mongolian fold, upper canthoplasty alone could not open up the inner corners enough, so I ultimately had medial canthoplasty together with revision upper canthoplasty. I should have followed the doctor’s advice from the beginning.. T_T. The preoperative photo was from before any canthoplasty, so the inner corners looked cramped, and the double-eyelid line was thick, making my eyes look slightly sausage-like, which bothered me. After medial canthoplasty and revision upper canthoplasty, my eyes look much more natural and open. It has only been two weeks, so there is still some swelling, but once it all goes down, the double-eyelid line should look much more natural haha. It’s amazing that canthoplasty alone reduced the sausage-like look so much. I’m sharing my revision experience in case there’s anyone like me in this community! I’ll upload photos with makeup around next week too~
