Right after having it done, I was satisfied and lived like that, but when viewed from the front, my nostrils looked too upturned, and even from the side my nose was set too high, so I lived with a short, upturned nose but with a high bridge.. I thought the nose itself didn’t turn out badly, but it also looked kind of like a woman’s nose, so I was extremely stressed And the functional issues were not improved at all, so one side inside my nose was almost blocked, making breathing very uncomfortable..
I wasn’t even thinking about another revision because revision surgery is so expensive, but after some time passed I had a bit more leeway, so while looking for revision surgery clinics, an acquaintance recommended that it would be good to do it at a place called Wave Clinic, where there is an ENT specialist, so I only went in for a consultation. But personality-wise, I’m the type to proceed right away if I like something, and during the consultation I felt that the functional issues would likely improve a lot too, so I went ahead with it.. The nose shape mattered too, of course, but every night when sleeping, my nose would get blocked, so I had to press the side of my cheek against the wall to open my nose even just a little. That was so exhausting At the place where I had surgery before, they said my original nose was deviated and seemed to have been broken once, so they corrected it as much as possible. At Wave, I got it done while thinking, “Will this really work?” but it was seriously amazing..
On day 2, after the cotton packing was removed, I noticed it while sleeping. I thought, “If I can breathe like this, I can actually live,” and I think I slept so happily.. It was before removing the splint, so I hadn’t seen the shape, but I thought as long as the shape was just average, this place would seriously be amazing. As expected, nose surgery really should be done by an ENT. I think it was the first time in years that I slept feeling happy.
They removed all of the autologous costal cartilage, silicone, and ear cartilage that had been placed previously, and redid it with donated costal cartilage. They said there was something called Sandplant, where they crush autologous costal cartilage, so I did that. Since they said using autologous tissue has no side effects and is the best, I just trusted them with everything lol As you can see in the photos, I was worried because my previous scar seemed so severe, but they really left the scar small, so I think after 1 year it won’t even be noticeable lol
The after photos are from week 2, so there is swelling when viewed from the front, which is why I’m showing the side profile. People around me have also been complimenting me, saying it turned out well and masculine, so I’m posting here for the first time!
