When I was young, I got teased quite a lot, and as the stress built up, I spent my school years with the mindset that once I became an adult, I would definitely look into plastic surgery first..
So I thought about what I should fix first on my face to improve that Southeast Asian-looking image, and I felt nose surgery would help, so I started going around for consultations mainly at hospitals that were often mentioned for a straight-with-slight-curve nose, and hospitals that make the nasal tip look longer, yeah..
Alar reduction was something everyone agreed I needed overall, but whether to do osteotomy or not... each hospital said something different, so it was really difficult ^^...
Anyway, plastic surgery itself is ultimately my choice, right.. Since it wasn’t something absolutely necessary, I thought back to what the director explained while looking at my nose.. No matter how much I thought about it, I felt my nose was thick enough to need osteotomy.. haha, so I had surgery at a place that recommended osteotomy, yeah..
Right after surgery to 2 weeks Honestly, I was out of it going back and forth to the hospital to remove the cotton, take off the splint, remove stitches, and so on lol Washing my face was uncomfortable, and even washing my hair was uncomfortable.. At least I didn’t have much swelling and it didn’t hurt, so I ate meals well.. The most refreshing and nicest thing was the sebum care they did at the hospital.. lol It was nice that they provided skin care after removing the splint, so I didn’t need to look for a dermatology clinic haha~
From 2 weeks to 1 month After the splint comes off, the swelling really goes down dramatically day by day. Maybe because I had osteotomy, I had bruising on my nasal bridge until 2 weeks, and even the faint bruising disappeared quickly before I even noticed.. haha Because at that point, instead of worrying about the nasal bridge, you end up focusing on applying ointment to the areas where the alar reduction was done and wondering when the redness will go away lol I had surgery using both incision and non-incision methods, so anyone who wants to 참고 can take note.. The redness also disappeared after about a month.
From 1 month until now It’s been over 2 months since surgery (in my 3rd month), and a lot of the residual swelling is going down lol My nasal bridge doesn’t feel stiff, the alar reduction area is fine, and this was the period when I could see the nasal tip, which had looked high after the splint came off, gradually coming down as the residual swelling went down, yeah.. My nasal bridge also became slimmer around this time. I think I’ll need to keep watching the tip a bit more. I do like it, but I hope it becomes a little sharper.. lol
After seeing me come back after doing my nose, my mom and dad said I really look Korean now lol.. What do you all think? I admit it’s not like I’ve completely escaped the exotic image! But don’t I look kind of like a Korean with mixed heritage? Just from doing my nose, my forehead looks more set back and my overall facial balance seems better too, so I’m satisfied, yeah
Right.. they say plastic surgery is about self-satisfaction. From now on, I’m going to live managing myself in a direction I’m satisfied with, without caring about others lol
