Before <Before surgery.. I want to punch my nose, and of all times my skin is a mess too> Before <Day of surgery (day 0)!! I seriously felt like it was a huge success right after I got it done, so I posted it on my private Instagram.. Look at me doing a V sign.. hopeless.. Maybe because it was right after surgery, it actually looks like there’s no swelling> Before <Days 3, 4, 5!!!> Before <Was this last week, around week 3?> Before <Today!!! I go to work looking like a wreck every day, and this is with the regular camera.. I love you, doctor> Wow, it’s already been over a month lololololol. I had surgery on 6/21 (Fri). Originally, I was going to have a consultation somewhere else and just do it right away.. but the price was way too expensive;; It wasn’t even building up the bridge of my nose, just the tip, so paying that much felt a bit much,, Honestly, this place isn’t exactly cheap either, but there were lots of surgery reviews, and the nose is in the midface, so what if it randomly turned out badly;; I just thought of it as a cost for my peace of mind.
Originally, since around April? May? I really had no time, so I kept postponing the consultation reservation at the clinic I first had in mind,, then eventually canceled it and made a consultation reservation here. I made the reservation by phone, and while booking lololol I asked if same-day surgery was possible too, but they said it wasn’t.. I just wanted to get it done quicklylololol I was scared it might go wrong too, but since I was going to do it anyway, I wanted to get it over with quickly For reference, the clinic I first had in mind said same-day surgery was possible!
I had an in-person consultation on 6/14! At first lolololol I wandered around wondering where on earth I was supposed to go, then barely found it.. Was it just me.. If everyone ends up going, make sure you find it well.. The clinic was connected right as soon as I got off the elevator!!! As soon as I went in, it was comfortable.. Right after checking in, I immediately downed coffee lol
I went in for the consultation with the consultant first, and she said I could bring my coffee in, so I brought it lolololol But I think it was good that I brought it. Bring water or coffee in.. You can just sip it quietly.... I was thirsty.. as the consultation went on.. Ah, writing on my phone is too hard, so I switched to my laptop, whew.. The consultant explained things really kindly.. I think it was over 30 minutes lolol No, and also lololololololol this is really ridiculous, but I thought alar reduction meant reducing the nasal tip lololololololol Honestly, I wasn’t really thinking about my alae that much... I hated how my nasal tip looked so much like a Hallabong mandarin So I wanted to make the tip a bit slimmer, but apparently that was tip cartilage tying?? Honestly, I wondered if that would really have a big effect But I was honestly a bit scared to put something into my nose,, and I really live carelessly.. So I wasn’t confident I could manage it well, and since work life was immediately at stake, the recovery period needed to be a bit short too lol. Since middle school, I’ve always carried “nose surgery” in my heart,, and now I finally did it as a proper adult,,,,
Oh, and me lololololololololololololololol I didn’t even tell my mom and dad lololololololololol Honestly, depending on how you look at it, that’s crazy... lololololololololololololol Honestly, after surgery I was going to go straight home and notify them.. but when it was actually over, I looked so obviously like someone who had surgery.... I suddenly lost confidence..... so I slept at my friend’s house and went home the next day with my heart pounding,,, lolololololololololololol I thought of every possible scriptlolololol And I barely managed to tell my mom that I had a major announcement lolololol. My mom was calmer than I expected, but she said, “Why did you even do it!!” lololol. Now she says it turned out well and looks natural, and she’s satisfied hehe. My mom dislikes things like plastic surgery She says natural is good... But I think it turned out just naturally enough. Even my bosses at work!! One person I saw after a while because of a business trip just said I had lost facial fat lolololol. That person is also pretty perceptive, and I think most people don’t really notice.... People who saw me before I even got the stitches removed probably knew..^^ Looking back at the photos now, I’m like, was that real?;; I seriously looked like a beluga, and I just went around on business trips like that.. ha
The surgery was at 17:30 on the 21st, and when I went, I saw a lot of foreign people.. It was so interesting. I thought plastic surgery tourism really must be popular these days.. lolololol. I arrived a bit early, got guided to the operating room, changed into surgical clothes, removed my makeup, waited, and then had surgery! Before surgery, they also asked how much I could drink, and it seemed related to anesthesia dosing.. I said about 1 bottle.. because I’m a lightweight.. I went into the operating room, lay down, and the nurses wrapped bandages all around me with my bangs pulled back lolololol. It must have been an eyesore for them And I think I got an anesthetic injection, and I think it hurt a bit. Then they woke me up and I got up lolololol. I don’t remember welllololol Anyway, I think that’s about all I remember...
After it was over, the nurse held me because I was staggering, so I moved to the recovery room and lay down lololol. Even in the middle of that, I asked how long I could stay, lay there taking photos, and talked to my friend on the phone lolololol. I thought I would sleep, but I couldn’t fall asleep.... lolololololol And it didn’t hurt at all!!!! After 1-2 hours? or was it 2-3 hours later, the anesthesia wore off a bit, and it hurt for about 1 hour, then didn’t hurt after that, seriously... really.. Until the stitches were removed, the inner corners of my eyes were bruised because of swelling and stuff, but aside from the swelling, there was no pain. Just none.
Until day 3, you swell seriously badly.. a real belugaㅡ... I don’t know if it was just me... And when they removed the alar stitches, it seriously hurt. Tears just streamed down reflexively.
It seems like swelling is severe when you do tip cartilage tying.. After they removed the nasal tip stitches on day 5, the swelling went down day by day.
Until weeks 1-2, I was on edge every day, but after that it became so natural that I didn’t even notice time passing... Even though the swelling went down day by day, from about 2-3 days? after removing the nasal tip stitches, even if there was swelling, it was almost only swelling that I knew about.
Because of a business trip, over the weekend I really bought and took something like Danggwisusan?? and I can’t remember the name of the swelling-reduction medicine, a liquid stick type (freaking expensive, seriously;) but honestly I don’t know if it worked well.. lol. I just took it out of desperation,, but still, before the stitches were removed, I was just a puffy beluga lololololol. Please do it when you have enough time. Don’t become a whole-world beluga like me...
Ah, I rambled on without any order and it got long. I’m so busy these days I could die, but writing this is fun. If you have questions, leave a comment and I’ll answer as sincerely as I can~~!!!! Anyway, I strongly recommend it I like it so much. These days, I don’t want to punch my nose every morning.. There used to be quite a lot of mornings when I wanted to punch my nose..
I also went for my 1-month progress check. I asked the doctor if I should do more alar reduction too, but he said it’s just right now, and if I do more, the nasal tip will actually stand out more, so I’m not going to^^ hehe. I also think if I do more, the tip might look puffy again...
For the scar too, I intentionally left it visible in the photo, but the photo is what makes it look that noticeable.. The scar is also gradually fading.. It’s only been 1 month, so later I think it’ll just disappear. Regarding scar laser or something, it seemed like they would manage it later if it was severe.. You can ask about that.
I paid with my own money even though I don’t have much money,,, so please don’t misunderstand... And I also wonder if someone advertising would write like this..... lololololololololololololololololol
The number of photos was limited too, so it was hard barely making a collage and cramming them in..
Still, I really chose a good clinic through this community and fixed my nose!!! Thank you, everyone here!! Since I’m writing in the app, I can’t enter the clinic name;; The clinic is ㅅㅇㅋ! I’ll edit it later or something.
