First, to explain myself: I'm 155 cm / 72 kg, and even when I was 57 kg I still had a double chin..
Since 2019, I got all kinds of lifting and contour injections at dermatology clinics, like InMode, Shurink, Ulthera, Onda lifting, and also injections such as contour injections, fat-dissolving injections, and V-Olet on my double chin a lot
Especially InMode... I did it once every two weeks ^^ The total I spent on that alone must have been around 5 million won lol
The injections didn't work, so I tried them whenever a new one came out, and lifting-wise InMode suited me well so I did it a lot.. But even that stopped working after doing it so much Onda lifting's effect lasted only one day lol...
Then when I was 75 kg (it was two weeks ago), I learned about something called double-chin muscle tightening. I searched and found out it was surgery!
I thought I couldn't let it turn out badly and get all messy like my abdominal liposuction, so I searched YouTube and went to a clinic! (But I later found out it was a clinic a friend had told me about If I'd known earlier, I could've gotten a 5% discount.. They said you get a 5% discount if you have a referral wah)
When I got there, I was supposed to consult with the manager first and then see the doctor, but the doctor said the surgery wasn't finished yet So I waited so long that I wondered, should I even do it here? But thinking about it now... maybe it was because of patients like me that day.. haha..
Because I had been burned by my abdominal liposuction (I still haven't gone back to that clinic I’m going on Thursday, and if they dodge responsibility or anything, I’ll name the clinic lol It rained a lot last week so I couldn't go), I asked the manager all sorts of annoying questions
But she didn't act bothered and was bright and helpful during the consultation, so I liked that Some clinics have managers who seem kind of annoyed at questions lol so there were places that left a bad impression!
Then I got to see the doctor!
I asked if I could take a photo of the ultrasound images with my phone, and took them home!
If you look at the first photo lol, you can barely see the muscle, right? They said that's because I've had so many procedures... it got adhesed Still, they reassured me that surgery was possible, so not to worry ~ I said I also wanted to get something done elsewhere, but they said there was no need lol They said unnecessary surgery isn't done.. I really felt trust in them!!..
Usually, if the fat layer is over 3 mm, they say it's considered a lot lol Mine was 4.79 mm in the superficial fat layer and 6.32 mm in the deep fat layer lol fatty rich girl..
The reason the muscle is visible in the second photo is because it's near under the ear!~ It's an area that doesn't get many procedures lol.. that's why it's at least visible
Then I had another consultation with the manager..
Because of the area with severe adhesions They said there was something I needed to use...(I think it was Elsan or something) The price went up from what I'd originally expected, but compared to all the procedures I'd had up to now?.. I was like, well... clinics still charge this much? lol and went for it
I didn't want to do it in summer, so I originally planned for November instead of today, but the manager said if I do it sooner, it settles sooner and I can look pretty sooner!!! I have a family introduction ceremony at the end of October so I just did it today
The reason I almost couldn't have the surgery was For the past few days, I'd only been sleeping 2-3 hours a day. I couldn't fall asleep at all today either I was lying awake until 3 a.m. and then I was like, no way!!
When I really can't sleep, I listen to one of those YouTube videos about past-life regression or something like that? I fall asleep with a 90% probability, and if I'm lucky I actually get a real past-life-regression experience lol
Anyway.. so I played that.. and slept like a baby;;
When I opened my eyes it was 10:20, so I called the clinic right away
I was like, I'm sorry I just woke up can I still go Then I washed up super roughly and went right away Why was it raining so much... I really felt so sorry
I arrived around 11:20... you know, all those pre-op precautions and tests? I did all that.. paid
The doctor designed it in the recovery room? and then I went into the operating room
Before the design, they checked everything one more time on a tablet, like the surgery precautions and my special notes? I thought, wow.. really this is my first time seeing a doctor like this!!
Then I opened my eyes and lol I was so happy~~~ ^0^

So I seriously bragged about it everywhere lol
And because I have dermatographia, the doctor was very worried!! But thankfully I haven't had any reaction so far, so it seems the surgery went really well ><
I can't include my pre-op everyday photos because of the photo limit
Honestly.. because of the double chin I couldn't even tie my hair up properly I always had to cover it, but now I can go out with confidence!! I'm planning to lose weight down to 45 kg, so then I'll be completely pretty >< hehe
My boyfriend had been against surgery because my abdominal surgery had gone badly, but after seeing this went well, he said I did a good job
I don't think it'll go badly at this clinic? But if there's no difference before and after, they said they'd first solve it non-surgically, and if that doesn't work, they'd do a revision surgery, so if you're worried like me because something went badly at another place before, I don't think you need to worry
As for pain, compared to the abdomen lol, first of all my abdomen...;; people who saw my previous post will know, but I fainted and went to the ER, and even though it was only abdominal surgery my face and hands swelled up too, and I just... couldn't move by myself until the stitches were removed..
Today lol I discharged myself and even took the subway all by myself!! lol I was really worried
And I'm pretty good at enduring pain, so compared with the abdomen... this isn't even painful? It's just... a bit uncomfortable?...
The manager said swelling would come tomorrow and so on, but I tend to swell a lot.. Maybe because of that, when I took off the bandage thing at 7 p.m. earlier to eat, it felt basically the same with or without it? Or so I thought?
But then... around 12:30? When I took it off again to eat something lol it hurt so I put the bandage back on right away;; I looked and the bruising had already come down to my neck!? I'll recover quickly and come back with another review ><
The clinic also gave me a post-op care kit? so I'm using it diligently lol
This is honestly the longest review I've ever written.. I'm so satisfied and really touched 넘감동이라....~~~
I don't even do blogs lol maybe I should start one, since it's a shame to have written so much
If my procedures hadn't had much fat, I wouldn't have had blood drawn, and if the adhesions hadn't been severe, I wouldn't have needed Elsan, so keep that in mind!>_<
