I had functional nose surgery for rhinitis as well, and only the septum and behind-the-ear fascia were used. The procedure was to slightly raise the bridge and glabella, raise the tip to match the dorsal hump, and perform osteotomy. It has now been 1.5 years, and the nasal bridge bone is protruding a little, so they said it would be a surgery to shave off only the bone. It wasn't dramatic, but I lived with it satisfied, and since it's a nose that lasts a lifetime, I felt like I should get it done while I'm still within the aftercare period, so I made a surgery reservation, and that day has already come... Everything else is fine, but I'm so resentful, scared, and upset that I have to go through revision surgery. The doctor said it would be a quick, easy procedure, but I keep wondering whether it's really right to do a surgery that shaves down bone. They also say that if the nose skin is handled many times, it can become hard and contracture can occur, so I'm wondering whether I should go through with it. It doesn't show much to the naked eye, but if I pull the skin, you can tell. My skin is on the thin side, so I'm even more worried.
