I don't have much fat on my upper eyelids, but because my eyes look weak and sunken with overlapping creases, I was commonly recommended ptosis correction + incisional double eyelid surgery. I still haven't decided on a hospital for surgery, but I think there are hospitals that are good at consultations and separate hospitals that produce good surgical results, so it seems important to first go somewhere that gives good consultations, get an objective analysis of my face, and then look more for a skilled surgeon for the actual surgery.
1. ㅇㅇㄹㄷ: The director is said to be famous, so this was the hospital I was most looking forward to. In countless reviews people said the director is a capital T, but from what I felt, rather than T, he seemed like an S among S/N. If I asked, "Would it turn out like this or that?" I only got yes-type answers back. Like other consultation-hopping reviews, I went with a friend, two of us, and the consultation ended in 4 minutes. I was told my eyes have severe epicanthal folds, so they recommended medial epicanthoplasty + incisional double eyelid surgery. It was the cheapest among the hospitals I visited. Looking at the line they held for me, they seem to pursue a natural look.
2. ㅎㄴ: When people talk about double eyelid surgery in Busan, this place is the most famous, so I went. I wanted something more glamorous rather than natural, so I consulted with Director H, and he held the line well. I was recommended incisional double eyelid surgery + upper epicanthoplasty, but for the upper epicanthoplasty, he just said it would look pretty if I did it rather than pressuring me. He said that if possible, while doing the surgery, natural adhesion or partial incision might be possible instead of full incision, which made me even more confused. After going to several consultations, I keep wondering if I should do it here if nowhere else really draws me in, since it is still ㅎㄴ, but I put it on hold because I thought I probably would not even have gone for a consultation if not for the power of the ㅎㄴ brand.
3. ㅇㅎㅅ: I only consulted with the consultant. Among the hospitals I visited, they held the prettiest line for me. They seemed to specialize in revision surgery and to have pride in it. They promoted the hospital a lot, saying surgeries turn out very pretty there and that the first surgery is important. The consultant said my eyes are not suitable for medial epicanthoplasty. Then at first she said buried-suture double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction would be enough, but at the end she told me to do incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction. She seems not to remember very well what she said herself. It would be fortunate if the result came out exactly like the line she held, and I am drawn to it by word of mouth alone, but they said a consultation with the director is only possible after booking surgery (+50,000 won deposit), so I put it on hold.
4. ㄷㅁ: The consultant gives good consultations. Honestly, I wanted to take this hospital's consultant around with me to other consultations more than my friend, to the point that she caught the characteristics of my eyes well and recommended what would be good. While consulting with this director, I felt a clear difference between someone with medical knowledge and a consultant who does not have that, because the director explained well, in detail, why my eyes should not have medial/upper epicanthoplasty. Saying that if it were him, he would not undergo surgery while accepting that scarring risk, he recommended only incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction. Everything was good up to here, but I passed after he mentioned fat-graft fat pockets using thigh fat because my eyes are sunken. Also, when I first entered the director's office, I heard him showing off the ear cartilage he had removed for nose surgery, so this seemed like a hospital more famous for nose surgery than eye surgery.
5. ㅇㅇㅂ: The director was really calm + kind. I went without expectations, but I heard that because the distance between my eyebrows and eyes is narrow, upper epicanthoplasty would not change my eyes much, and if I did anything, it would have to be medial epicanthoplasty. But here too, because of the distance between my nose and eyes, they did not recommend medial epicanthoplasty. They pointed out the shortcomings of my face, and told me that when the eyes have no strength and look sleepy too severely, there is a separate procedure called brow lift. But because of the limits of my brow bone, he showed patient cases and told me not to do it, which made my trust shoot up. Looking at photo reviews, there are many comments saying they are actually not good at setting the line during surgery, so I only referenced the consultation content here too and passed on surgery.
