I had a severe hump on the nasal bridge and a drooping, arrow-like nasal tip, so I thought about rhinoplasty for 3 years before finally getting the surgery. When we were designing it on the day of surgery, the director said the hump was severe, so a lot would need to be shaved down. As the anesthesia wore off, the area where the hump had been hurt unbelievably badly... When I woke up from anesthesia, I was half-asleep and in so much pain, but after taking painkillers and sleeping for a day, it got better lol. After the splint was removed, the side profile came out soooo pretty, but from the front, the swelling around the hump area was severe. When I told the director during my follow-up, he said the swelling would go down after about 1 month, and truly, a lot of the swelling in my alar base and overall nose has gone down, so my nose looks slimmer and prettier!! Before surgery, my hump nose and drooping tip were severe, so I somehow had an unfair-looking impression... After surgery, I realize how important the nose is as the center of the face!! My friends around me only compliment me, saying it turned out so well!! Every time I look at old selfies, even though it has only been a month since surgery lol, I get startled and think, was my nose really like this? lol I’m so excited to see how it’ll look when the remaining minor swelling goes down and it becomes even slimmer!
