How should I put it haha, I’m timid(?), so I couldn’t handle the idea of getting double eyelid surgery and suddenly looking dramatically different. So I searched hard for places that said they absolutely do natural-looking results, and in the end I had surgery at a place that even had “natural” in its name. Originally, the inner part of my eyes was narrow like small clam-shaped eyes, my outer eye corners were upturned, and I had monolids. I didn’t even go to the clinic for double eyelid surgery; I went because my upturned eye corners made my impression look too strong and I hated it, so I wanted posterior canthoplasty. But during the consultation, I figured, since I’m doing it anyway, why not make my eyes a bit prettier, so in the end I got double eyelid surgery, posterior/lower canthoplasty, epicanthoplasty (+ ptosis correction) all done haha The price was discounted because I booked the surgery on the day of the consultation. At first, maybe because I emphasized so much that I wanted it very natural and not overdone, when the doctor was drawing the double eyelid line during the consultation... they said if we did it to the degree I wanted, it would come out even thinner, almost like an inner double eyelid, so I asked them to place the line just a tiny bit higher than that. I also emphasized that the canthoplasty should absolutely not be forced or overdone, and that I wanted it natural. So I think they just did the best possible version within my original eye shape.
It’s been 1 year now, and it’s genuinely so natural that nobody knows I had surgery. Even people around me sometimes forget haha. That’s how little it shows. The swelling wasn’t severe either. I think it may be because it was non-incisional and because the double eyelid line was set very thin. It seems like incision swells a lot? Anyway, so now I regret it a little. I should have placed the line higher haha The photo isn’t recent; it was taken 4 months after surgery. I can’t upload a current photo because it’s too obvious that it’s me haha. Back then, there was still some minor swelling left, and it was taken with SNOW, so the makeup filter makes it look a bit more glamorous, but thinking about it now, that level back then, when the swelling hadn’t fully gone down, was just right. Now the double eyelid line is about half as thin as that..
Since I did natural adhesion, if it loosens later, I’m thinking of revision surgery with the line placed a bit higher. Anyway, everyone, don’t get too greedy and overdo it, but don’t emphasize “super natural” as much as I did either haha. I regretted it, thinking I should have been just a little bolder.. haha Other than that, I like everything. Oh, the epicanthoplasty scar did last quite a long time.
