I guess once you get into your late 30s, you can’t fight gravityㅠㅠ Even though I don’t have much facial fat, the flesh along my jawline started sagging down and my nasolabial folds were getting deeper, so I worried about it. Surgery felt scary, and I thought I’d save that for when I’m older, so I went with laser lifting.
My skin is on the thin side, and I heard laser lifting can cause hollow cheeks if done wrong, so I researched a lot before doing it. For defining the jawline, Shurink is the best, and I heard Oligio doesn’t hurt and is good for people with thin skin, so I got the combined Oligio + Shurink lifting. InMode is also famous for defining the jawline, but from what people around me who had it done said, it hurts a lot during the procedure and bruises badly. They said it’s a laser that works by breaking down fat with heat, so it’s better for people with a lot of fat, so I passed on it for now.
Anyway, I asked acquaintances, did my research, had consultations, and eventually got something called Oligio + Shurink at Lavian. While doing the laser, the director kept asking, “Does it hurt?” and explained in detail that they would raise the intensity and what area they were treating with which device at the moment, so I liked that they performed the procedure carefully! Maybe because of the anesthesia, there were occasionally some tingling or stinging sensations, but it really didn’t hurt much at all, which was nice. (For reference, Shurink did hurt a bit....ㅋㅋㅋㅋ)
My review after getting it done is that I’m really extremely satisfied! I was like, “What can a laser really do~” but it had more immediate results than I expected, so it was fascinating and nice. Because my skin is thin, as I got older the skin above my double eyelids sagged, so my double eyelids gradually became thinner and looked almost like monolids. But after laser lifting, my double eyelid lines became clearly visible again, and my nasolabial folds became less noticeable!!! But it does definitely feel like the lasting power is a bit short...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Still, I’m thinking of it as something to maintain consistently, and since they say this also improves the skin, I think it’s worth getting once in a while as maintenance!
