I decided because breathing was so hard due to my nasal septum and rhinitis. As everyone knows, day 2 after surgery is the hardest, and the week after that is also pretty tough. The symptoms I experienced were headache, fatigue, tenderness in my nose and ears when swallowing saliva, a fishy smell from blood clots in my nose, and pain in my front teeth. The nose itself doesn’t hurt as much as expected, and you should assume you can’t live your normal daily life for a generous 10 days... I had no appetite, couldn’t breathe, and my mouth was dry,,.. I’m currently about 10 days out, and I can breathe fairly well. But after a few hours, blood clots form, I get rid of them with nasal irrigation, and it repeats....
