I had severe myopia and astigmatism, so SMILE LASIK was completely not an option, and they said LASEK was possible, but even if they ablated the maximum amount, my vision would only get up to 0.8. And if they did that, my vision might keep dropping So I got lens implantation, and now it’s been 4 years!!!
During that time, I got an office job, so I look at monitors a lot and live with dry eye syndrome.. But I already had pretty severe dry eyes, so I don’t think it’s particularly because of the surgery. My corneal endothelial cells are being maintained well, and my vision comes out clear too!! I think it helps a bit if I consciously look far away or try to read text in the distance while walking down the street.
I’ve moved to Seoul now, so I’m not going to the ophthalmology clinic where I had the surgery.. Once, by the afternoon, it felt like my eyeballs were going to fall out and burst, so I went to a nearby ophthalmology clinic, and they said my intraocular pressure was high, so I seriously wondered if I had to remove the lenses.. But after putting in dry eye drops, it went back down. Good good.
The one thing I’m dissatisfied with after getting it done is glare/halos.. They said it’s because my pupils are on the large side. Nighttime is actually okay, but when I go to the movie theater, it’s really dazzling and blurry, so I end up not going much Everything else is good!! I think it’s easier on my mind if I just think I’ll have them removed later when I get older.
