I will try to write this with the goal of giving information as accurately as possible.
*Nose concerns 1) From the front, my nose was not so ugly that it was hard to look at, but from the side, the nasal tip sat lower than the bridge. Because of that shape, I thought it made my midface look longer for no reason, and my overall impression did not look very likable.
2) So I tried a thread lift once at a dermatology clinic. I had searched for thread-lift reviews and saw people saying you could get good results just by pulling with threads, so I did it..... Hmm.. lol I do not know about other people, but at least for me, I did not really see good results. It may have been because my skin is thick, but honestly all I could think was that it was a waste of money. 3) Since I had already gone as far as getting a thread lift, I thought I should just look into rhinoplasty, so I started searching for clinics.
I do not know how other people search, but I found out about this site itself pretty late, and almost all I could rely on was searching on the green search portal? lol Or looking through plastic-surgery apps. It was so hard to filter out ads from real reviews there, and for reviews that looked okay to me, I would show them to a close female friend and ask what she thought. But my female friend told me not to search that way, and to exclude large hospitals entirely. She knew a lot about various cosmetic surgeries and procedures, and she said many large hospitals do not pay attention to each individual patient. At that point, while looking into cosmetic surgery, I started thinking I wanted to do not only my nose but also my eyes, so she told me that if I was going to do both areas together, I should properly look into private clinics.
*One-doctor clinics, places that do surgery naturally, places with good post-op AS + aftercare I searched like that and went around for in-person consultations.
*Eye concerns 1) Since I had decided to do both my eyes and nose, a face where anyone would think, huh? That is obviously a surgery face was a NO...... Really, please, my goal was to make it look natural. (I think most men would agree with this lol) Rather than wanting to create double eyelids, I think I mainly wanted my eyes to become horizontally longer and change into a clearer-looking eye shape than before.
2) If you look at my eyes before surgery, even though I was opening them with effort, I looked sleepy, and people would ask if something tiring had happened. I lived hearing things like that lol.. So when I went for the consultation, I said my biggest goal was to make my eyes look clearer, and that I did not want eyes that looked overwhelming or intensely prominent.... As expected, the director also said that for my eyes, rather than setting the crease line high, it would be much more natural to make them clearer with ptosis correction from their current state, and that it would also suit my facial features well. My female friend had told me that the clinic and the style I wanted needed to match well, and I thought, so this is what she meant.
*After surgery 1) For my nose, I had surgery using silicone and septal cartilage, and also had hump correction done together. Honestly, in the early stage after surgery, you have a splint on and everything is covered, so it is hard to check the nose shape. That made me really want to get it removed quickly and check. I was told I needed to put in a lot of effort to reduce the early swelling, so I carried water with me and went for walks whenever I had time, and I also used the heat pack they gave me every single day without missing one.
2) Unlike the nose, the eyes are visible right away, so I could see the change at a glance. Thanks to the epicanthoplasty, the inner corners that had looked stuffy were opened up nicely, and although the canthoplasty helped, I really felt that ptosis correction was very effective. Honestly, I had relatively almost no eye swelling, so even at one week post-op, I felt pretty satisfied. I really started taking an excessive number of selfies from then lol
3) I am relieved that both my eyes and nose were done naturally, just as I had hoped. With cosmetic surgery, less is more, and I think the moment I get greedy, something is bound to go off somewhere. If I could go back to the beginning of this year, thread lift, my foot.. lol I would not get that kind of thing and would probably get rhinoplasty right away, but even now, I plan to live satisfied that my nose has become the shape I wanted.
