Before<This is the before photo!! I do look like I'm opening my eyes with a bit of force..> Before-before<This is the most recent photo!> Hi! I thought about double eyelid surgery for 6 years and had surgery on 5/3! I was born with monolids, and after becoming an adult, I kept using double eyelid tape every morning to make a line before going out! Doing that was so, so, so annoying, so as soon as I came back to Korea, I just got double eyelid surgery! hahaha The line in the before photo was something that barely formed because of double eyelid tape... The original me had no such thing as a line... When I first went to get surgery, I even brought photos and videos of myself with double eyelid tape.. lol (to be more specific, the line that remained prettily after I used double eyelid tape and cleansed before showering in the evening!!) Of course, I knew it wouldn't come out exactly the same as that, so I expected it to be somewhat different!! They said I needed epicanthoplasty so the inner corners of my eyes wouldn't look sunken, so I did that too! They said epicanthoplasty could leave visible scars, but I'm pretty insensitive, so I don't really know... Now I'm 2 months post-op, and the swelling has gone down in a way I like, and I like my eyes too~! The swelling is still gradually going down! But even now, I'm happy with the way it is! When I meet friends, they say it doesn't look that different from when I used to wear double eyelid tape, so I'm so, so satisfied I'm doing my makeup well, and I'm planning to get eyelash extensions in 3 weeks too!! The day of surgery was originally supposed to be a hospital tour, but going around from place to place was annoying, and for some reason that day I felt really drained and tired, so I just had surgery the same day at the first hospital where I had a consultation! Because I had eaten breakfast before coming, I waited about 4-5 hours before going in. Before surgery, I couldn't take out my piercing, so the operating room nurse there removed it for me,,, I'm so grateful I was so sleepy during surgery that I don't even remember it lol I think I would have just fallen asleep even without anesthesia The last thing I remember is up to, "the medicine is going in..." lololol Oh, and maybe because I went there through a recommendation from someone I know, I trusted it more, and thanks to that, I think I chose the hospital without hesitation!! Honestly, I didn't want to drag it out... It hurt a bit when the stitches were removed, and other than that there was no pain, but for 3 days after surgery, having to keep my eyes closed with a cold pack on them was so miserable. I couldn't even watch dramas... I think I listened to so much Cultwo Show If you're curious about anything, it's okay to ask. I'll answer everything I know!!
