Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

2-week review of upper epicanthoplasty

I really hated the hooked inner corners of my eyes and how the front part of my line got swallowed up. I had double eyelid surgery twice, and it only looked bright when there was swelling at first. Once time passed, it got completely swallowed into an inner line … I found out that was because of the epicanthal fold. But for medial epicanthoplasty, the distance between my eyes was already appropriate, so I looked into it, and upper epicanthoplasty seemed right for me. So I went around to hospitals.

Hospital 1. Said I wouldn’t get the eyes I wanted, they’d look too close together, and my current eyes are pretty(?) Hospital 2. Said it would just give a somewhat innocent-looking feel, vague

3. In consultation reviews, people said Director Kwon Bong-sik is a bit insincere and looks tiredㅋㅋㅋㅋ But he just has a calm personality; it didn’t bother me. Anyway, when I told him the direction I wanted, he understood my needs exactly and marked the line, and it was exactly the eyes I wanted, so I booked right away.

So I had upper epicanthoplasty + 2-point buried suture to set the front line.

But honestly, after surgery I was surprised because the swelling was so severe. I was so anxious wondering if it had gone well, then told myself time is medicine, used warm/cold compresses + looked in the mirror dozens of times a day, wondering again if this was right. Now the bruising is finally gradually fading and it seems like I got the eyes I wanted, so I’m writing this out of happiness..

+ Whenever I have surgery, my left eye is a swelling festival, and this time tooㅜ So I’m only uploading the right side haha. I’ll wait gradually.
