I went for a consultation about revision rhinoplasty after watching YouTube, and ended up having surgery. The doctor was exactly like in the videos. They talk a lot, but explain everything clearly and factually, so there is no confusion. Because not many people use rib cartilage in their first surgery, and there are not many reviews from other hospitals about removing rib cartilage during revision surgery, I was extremely worried. Before I even mentioned my concerns, the doctor explained everything about that point first, so I did not have much left to ask. They covered the basics, including whether the rib cartilage could be removed, how the shape and lines might change afterward, and what new material would be recommended. They also ran some kind of program on a monitor and showed me a virtual image of my face after surgery. Comparing the line shown then with my nose now after surgery, they look really similar. The cost was not cheap by my standards, but it was worth it, so I am satisfied.
