I’m planning revision surgery because I’m dissatisfied with the shape (drooping nasal tip)!
My natural nose was extremely low and small hehe For my first surgery, silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage were used, and I’m not the type to be super careful, so I’ve hit my nose a lot too. I think that’s why the nasal tip drooped.
These days I’ve also been worried about inflammation and contracture, so I went for a consultation.
The consultation fee was 10,000 won, and the CT was around 32,000 won, I think, but since I’m not having surgery right away, I didn’t get the CT.
First of all, last week the inside of my nose hurt a bit (I picked it a lot), so I went to an ENT clinic and also the previous hospital. Everyone said it was fine, but I wanted to get it checked one more time, so I went. The director said it wasn’t inflammation or contracture, so I felt relieved!
To write about the consultation, they said my nose is small and short, and my ears are small too, so it would be better to use autologous costal cartilage rather than ear cartilage! But personally I like a round nose, and I was afraid autologous costal cartilage would make it pointy, so I did want to use ear cartilage Autologous costal cartilage is done under general anesthesia, and they said an anesthesiology director is on site. I also liked that I could view the CCTV anytime! If inflammation or contracture removal is needed, all aftercare is free, and if there is dissatisfaction with the shape, they’ll do it if I only pay the anesthesia fee. I heard the AS period is 3 years, but it seems they manage inflammation or contracture for life.
Cotton removal the day after surgery, splint and stitch removal after one week, and stitches removed from the costal cartilage harvest site after two weeks! They said the director personally checks me at every aftercare visit.
Unlike other hospitals, it felt like they only recommended what was truly necessary?? My nostril wings are also on the wide side, but they said considering facial harmony, it would be better not to reduce them, so if I do the revision, I’ll probably focus mainly on the nasal tip.
But the price is a bit expensive hehe.. so I’m debating! Oh, if I put down a same-day reservation deposit of 100,000 won, they give a 500,000 won discount.
If I had inflammation or contracture, I was going to have surgery right away, but since that’s not the case and it’s a cosmetic issue, I’m too busy this summer, so I’m thinking maybe I’ll just do it in winter!
Both the consultant and the director weren’t the pushy type, explained calmly, and seem to create natural-looking shapes, so I think it’s good!
