It has been 3 months since I had surgery with Mentor Xtra implants by Director Kim Guk-hyun at Human Plastic Surgery.
For breast augmentation, I had consistently been thinking about an axillary incision, so I proceeded with an axillary incision, using Mentor Xtra 375 cc on the left and 400 cc on the right. Even in the before photo they were uneven, but in person it was worse, so on the day of surgery they matched the left and right sizes while placing the implants and designing. Until the very end, I was debating a lot between Motiva and the implants, so even two days before surgery I called the consultant to ask. She said she recommends Motiva if it’s a body type that really needs Motiva, but I wasn’t that body type, so I ended up going with Mentor Xtra. Motiva definitely didn’t have the feel I preferred, but I’m easily swayed, so I wavered...
I narrowed down hospitals through the Facebook plastic surgery page and went for consultations at 4 hospitals including Human, and I chose Human Plastic Surgery without hesitation. Not only did they explain everything I was curious about in detail and professionally, but I also gained trust because almost every post on the plastic surgery page had comments recommending Human Plastic Surgery. For the consultation, first the consultant understood my needs and explained the general outline, then based on that, the director explained everything in detail from the beginning, checked again to make sure there was nothing I had missed, and explained while considering my level of understanding. Lastly, the consultant explained things in even more detail. It was also nice that I could predict the result in advance with a virtual plastic surgery program. Because I thought breast augmentation was a major surgery, it was an operation I had worried about for about 8 years, but the detailed explanation reassured me.
This was my first surgery under general anesthesia, so when it actually came time for surgery I was extremely nervous, but seeing the operating room staff working professionally made me less afraid. They said the surgery took about 1 hour, and they said I might have to wear a drain, but I did not have one attached separately. After that, I moved to the recovery room. I was sleepy, but not to the point that I couldn’t stay awake, so I repeatedly did deep breathing, got a pain-control injection, stopped by the restroom, and stayed in the recovery room for about 1 hour before going home. During that hour, the recovery room staff, consultant, and director came in turns and explained that the surgery had gone well. Thanks to that, although I had pain, I felt very comfortable emotionally.. Since my home is not in Seoul, I went to the hospital with my mom, and the director said my mother would probably be worried, so he explained things in detail again. It was my first surgery in life (under general anesthesia), and I’m really relieved it went well.. I repeatedly asked the same questions about the recovery process through KakaoTalk, but they answered well. Even if I went back to the time when I had to choose again, I think I would do it at Human.
I think my pain right after surgery was exactly moderate. Since they said light walks were good, from day 3? day 4? I took walks in front of my house for about 30 minutes. During the day it was okay, but at night I think it hurt a little more.. More than the pain, it was harder that my nipples became sensitive. I was originally on the sensitive side too, so maybe that’s why... Nipple patches are not optional but essential...
I’m currently at 3 months, and aside from occasional sharp tingling pain? it now just feels like my own body ..!!!!! Soon I’m going to a resort destination for summer, and these days I’m happily worrying because I have so many more bikini options.. Since breasts are definitely something people think about a lot, if you decide to do it, I think you can go with Human without hesitation because they provide good aftercare..!!!!! Highly recommend!
