After double eyelid surgery, the stitches burst twice, so the skin had slightly opened up, and it only closed after they sutured it for the third time. I don’t know if it was because water got in or because I had too many surgeries, but suddenly one upper eyelid swelled up and became severely red. At the hospital, they only kept giving me antibiotics, and once it seemed to get a little better, they just told me to come back in a month.
A month later, my eye was draining pus, was even more swollen, and it was a total mess, so I went back to the hospital. Only then did they say they couldn’t handle it, and made a fuss telling me to pay 10,000 won each time and get antibiotic injections.
In the end, I left that hospital and went from a university hospital to private clinics. Even after one week of antibiotic treatment at the university hospital, it didn’t get better, so I had a granuloma removed at another private plastic surgery clinic. Now, cosmetically, I have a somewhat sunken eye and a sausage-like eyelid because there is a lot of fat deficiency, and I’m living with my eye-opening function slightly weakened as well.
Right now I’m looking around for hospitals for reconstruction and cosmetic treatment, but it isn’t easy. I’ve also been told several times that they can’t do it. I would appreciate any hospital recommendations.
